Every now and then there comes a game that leaves a sense of awe in the faces of gamers around the world and that is Halo. Until then enjoy the simple yet unique FPS shooter that goes by the name of Shadowrun which comes with a price tag all Australians can cheer about. Shadowrun is an online multiplayer title combining a unique blend of modern weaponry, ancient magic and advanced technology leaving new and unpredictable tactical possibilities for each individual player.
With Shadowrun being an online multiplayer which also allows you to take on Windows Vista players, do not expect to be dropped into the deep end straight away. There are six training course which give you a brief run down on the story of Shadowrun and the unique weaponry, magic and technology available at your disposal when you jump online. In addition to these training courses you can have solo-bot matches which simulate the online game play allowing you to test out the unique races, weapons, magic and technology.

When you feel you are ready to jump online you can jump straight into a public match either by yourself or with a party of friends. The public match option is simplistic version of the halo 2 matchmaking system pitting you up against opponents with the best connection, similar preferences and true skill ranking (which you never see). This process can take a while though a patch for this will hopefully come out soon. The best option is to create your own private match from which you can invite people from your friend list into. Here you are given very limited multiplayer customisation options such as what map and game-type to play as well as the ability to include bots to fill the room if someone happens to leave early.
