After many years battling against the Covenant and Flood as Master Chief you'd think it couldn't get any more dramatic. Think again… The guys over at Ensemble Studios, after working long and hard with the Halo community, tweaking every aspect of their game to flow with the already streamlined storyline and features have finally nailed it on the head. Being the first game in the Halo series to be featured from a bird's eye view and to fall in the RTS category, Halo Wars really and truly has become another masterpiece in the Halo franchise.

Being Ensemble Studios' final production, they really left no detail to spare. The game kick starts you off almost 20 years before the original Halo Combat Evolved on a ship, The Spirit of Fire, following the Covenant investigating the planet Harvest. The game puts The Spirit Of Fire in pursuit of Covenant activity on remote planets in an attempt to track down why the Covenant began their attacks on helpless planets.

For true hardcore fans of the Halo phenomenon Ensemble Studios has rolled in some sneaky giveaways to lead onto Halo CE. Without giving away to much detail it does mention in some of the cut-scenes how massive space battles destroy and damage some of the UNSC ships, one of them being the Pillar Of Autumn, which I'm sure fans will know quite well.
